Revolution is not one violent group of people wresting control from another group of violent people using violence. Such a case is the exact opposite of Revolution. It is a reaffirmation of control by the monoply of violence. It is business as usual.

Revolution is when what is everyday and self-evident and beyond framing a question around has changed. To percieve a Revolution you have to look backwards and say to yourself, “What were they thinking back then? I cannot understand their choices or actions unless I can see the world through their eyes.”

There is a difference between a Revolution and a change of power. That does not mean that violence cannot be linked with the process of change and resistance to change but it is never a revolution in itself.
